Syria takes part in Iranian Combinatorics Olympiad

Student of the Syrian Scientific Olympiad on Saturday took part in the first Iranian Combinatorics Olympiad (ICO) which was organized virtually with the participation of several countries.

The Distinction and Creativity Agency said in a statement to SANA that 17 students representing the Syrian Scientific Olympiad in mathematics took part in the advanced level of the ICO’s tests which lasted for five hours. The students were selected from five exam centers in the Syrian provinces of Damascus, Aleppo, Homs, Lattakia and Tartous.

To prepare for this Olympiad, Iran held the test version of the ICO last year. The Syrian participation in this event comes to enhance the presence of national teams in different international scientific contests.
