Syria takes part in charitable diplomatic bazaar in Bulgaria

SOFIA, (ST)- Syria, through its embassy in Bulgaria, took part in the 25th charitable diplomatic bazaar in the Bulgarian capital Sofia. The bazaar was organized by the International Women’s Club there.

 A number of embassies accredited in Bulgaria as well as some organizations and parties concerned in social affairs and charity and humanitarian activities took part in the annual event.

The Syrian stand exhibited various products including fabrics, folklore clothes, embroideries, mosaic works, miniatures, Arab calligraphy works and some kinds of food and sweets that reflects the diversity of the Syrian cuisine.

A special stand was dedicated for Syrian-made furniture, artistic panels as well as publications on the Syrian cities. The stand presents documentaries in Bulgarian, Arabic, German and English languages about Syria’s ancient history and the most beautiful archeological sites.

 The Syrian stand witnessed a high turnout of visitors from Bulgaria, the Syrian community as well as the Arab and foreign communities in the country. The visitors expressed hope that Syria will surpass the difficult circumstances and maintain its cultural role.
