DAMASCUS, (ST)- Syria has strongly condemned the two terrorist blasts that targeted on Wednesday the Iranian Shura Council (Parliament) and the Mausoleum of Imam Khomeini, the Founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran, stressing that such coward terror acts won’t prevent Syria and Iran to continue fighting terrorism.
Wednesday’s attacks killed a dozen people and injured 42 others, according to reports.
In a statement on Wednesday, the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said “Syria expresses its full solidarity with the leadership, government and people of brotherly Iran and offers deep condolences to the families of the victims”.
These terror blasts, behind of which are well-known countries, won’t weaken the determination of Syria and Iran to press ahead with the fight against takfiri terrorism, the ministry added.
The ministry concluded the statement by saying that “Syria warns the countries, which are behind such terrorist acts, against the continuity of financing and arming the terrorist organizations and against the spread of extremism and takfiri thinking which will have dangerous impacts on the security and stability in the region and the entire world.”
