Syria strongly condemns the Israeli crimes against the Palestinians

 On April 25th, Syria issued a statement strongly condemning  the Israeli crimes against the Palestinians, reiterating its firm support for our heroic people in Jerusalem and all the occupied Palestinian territories and in the occupied Syrian Golan.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said : “ The Israeli occupation authorities launched criminal attacks against the Palestinian people at the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan, with the aim of preventing the arrival of Palestinian worshipers to the courtyards of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque to perform religious duties there.”

The Ministry said that the Israeli occupation authority has converted the vicinity of the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the town The old city in Jerusalem to a military barracks especially in Bab al-Amoud and the surrounding area.

 

The Ministry said that the Israeli occupation forces supported dozens of Israeli settlers from the extremist right-wing groups in their attacks on Palestinian youth in order to prevent them from Praying in the mosque.

The Ministry added: “This new attack comes as an expression of the occupation’s policy to change the existing legal and historical situation in the mosque and to proceed with its plan to Judaize the city of Jerusalem.”

The Ministry affirmed that the Syrian Arab Republic, while strongly condemning Israeli crimes against Palestinian citizens, reaffirms its firm support for our heroic people in Jerusalem and in all the occupied territories in Palestine and in the occupied Syrian Golan.

The Ministry said: “Syria calls on the international community, including the Security Council, to assume its responsibilities and to stop these crimes that contradict international law.”
