Syria strongly condemns the cowardly terrorist attack that targeted a shrine in the Iranian city of Shiraz

Syria has issued a strong condemnation in connection with the cowardly terrorist attack that targeted a shrine in the Iranian city of Shiraz, stressing that it once again shows that terrorism has become one of the main tools of the US policy to destabilize countries.

An official source at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said in a statement: “Syria condemns in the strongest terms the cowardly terrorist attack that targeted the Shachrag shrine in the Iranian city of Shiraz, for which the terrorist organization ISIS claimed responsibility, and that has led to the death of a number of innocent people  and the wounding of others.”

The source stressed that this terrorist attack once again shows that terrorism has become one of the main tools of the US policy in destabilizing countries and destroying peace in them with the aim of subjecting them to US dependence.

The source added: “ As Syria renews its expression of its full solidarity and stance with Iran in the face of this cowardly terrorist attack and the conspiracy against it, it extends its sincere condolences to the leadership, government and people of Iran and the families of the victims, with wishes for a speedy recovery for the wounded.”

Yesterday, a terrorist from the “ISIS” organization opened fire on citizens inside the Shrine of Ahmed bin Musa Al-KadhimShah Cheragh

in the city of Shiraz, killing 15 people, including women and children, and wounding 27.The security forces arrested the attacking terrorist.
