Syria Strongly Condemns Saudi Regime for Assassinating Yemen’s Supreme Political Council President

DAMASCUS– Syria strongly condemned the killing of the president of Yemen’s Supreme Political Council, Saleh Ali al-Sammad, in the recent Saudi airstrike, stressing that Saudi scheme in Yemen will be inevitably defeated as in Syria, SANA reported.

An official source at the Foreign and Expatriates Ministry said in a statement to SANA on Thursday that the Syrian Arab Republic strongly denounces the assassination of the president of Yemen’s Supreme Political Council in Yemen, Saleh Ali al-Sammad, who was killed by a Saudi regime’s airstrike.

 The source added that that the dreadful crime committed by Saudi regime is a continuation of the massacre against the Yemeni people which led to the destruction of Yemen’s infrastructure and claimed the lives of tens of thousands of innocent civilians.

The source concluded by saying that the Saudi project in Yemen will inevitably fall as happened in Syria, adding that the Yemeni people, who have never bowed to any external force, will know how to face that Saudi aggression with their resilience and preserve the sovereignty, independence and unity of Yemen.
