Syria Strongly Condemns Failed Coup Attempt against Legitimate Government of Venezuela

DAMASCUS, (ST)-Syria has strongly condemned the failed coup attempt against the legitimate government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, expressing confidence that the Venezuelan people and leadership to will foil the arrogant US policies, an official source at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said on Wednesday.

 Developments and reactions in Washington have proved that the US administration is going ahead with its policy to destabilize Venezuela and use all the weapons it has, including the economic siege, in order to undermine the Venezuelan people’s options and turn Venezuela into mini states that follow the American policy, the source added.

 “The Syrian Arab Republic reaffirms it full solidarity with the leadership, government and people of the friendly country of Venezuela and called for stopping the American  destructive intervention in the country’s affairs,” the source pointed out.

Syria is confident that the Venezuelan people and leadership will foil the US arrogant policies and will restore security and stability in the country on the basis of respecting constitutional legitimacy and stopping all forms of foreign intervention in the internal affairs and independent decision of the Bolivarian republic of Venezuela, the source concluded.
