Syria stresses solidarity with the Palestinian prisoners in the occupation jails, calls for releasing them
The Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates has condemned the Isareli occupation’s violations of the rights of the Palestinian captives in the Israeli jails, particularly their right to receive necessary healthcare.
In a statement on Wednesday, the ministry said that the absence of healthcare in the occupation jails, which has led to the martyrdom of the Palestinian prisoner Naser Abu Hamid, is a blatant violation of the international humanitarian law.
The Ministry affirmed Syria’s solidarity with all the prisoners in the Israeli detention centers and called for releasing them immediately.
The prisoner Abu Hamid was martyred yesterday after a long suffering with lung cancer exacerbated by the occupation authorities’ refusal to transfer him to a hospital in the West Bank or to release him, despite the serious deterioration of his health condition since August 2021 in flagrant violation of international humanitarian law.
