Syria- South Africa Discuss Establishing Joint Industrial Ventures

Damascus, (ST) – The Minister of Industry Ahmad Hamou discussed here on Thursday with the Ambassador of the Republic of South Africa, Sean Byneveldt, ways of developing industrial cooperation to the benefit of the two countries through establishing joint projects particularly the field of  industrial, food glass and pharmaceutical industries.

The Minister confirmed that the situation in Syria is going to stability and the Republic of South Africa will participate in the reconstruction process, calling the South African Companies to take part in this process.

For his part, Mr. Byneveldt affirmed his country’s interest to enhance and develop the relations with Syria and to contribute to projects that have relation with development and reconstruction, pointing out that many companies will take part in Damascus International Fair.

The Ambassador welcomed to sign industrial cooperation agreement between the two countries during the near visit by Deputy Foreign Minister of South Africa to Syria.
