Syria on Saturday signed the UN Strategic Framework 2022-2024.

The document was co-signed by Head of Syrian Commission for Planning and International Cooperation, Dr. Fadi Salti Al-Khalil, and Resident Coordinator of the UN Activities in Syria Omran Rida.

The signing ceremony was attended by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Bashar Al-Jaafari and representatives a number of concerned parties and UN organizations operating in Syria.

Dr. Al-Khalil stressed the need to achieve connection between the goals of the National Development Program in the post-war Syria, which constitutes the 2030 National Development Strategy in Syria, and the goals of the UN Sustainable Development Plan.

He affirmed that relief work and the delivery of humanitarian aid as well as development work to achieve sustainable recovery in Syria must continue, pointing out that signing this document signals the start of hard work to achieve the goals set by the Syrian government to achieve the aspirations of the Syrian people.
