Syria severely denounces the criminal American aggression which led to martyrdom of Suleimani and Al-Muhandess

Syria severely denounced the criminal American aggression which led to the martyrdom of the Commander of Al-Quds Brigade in the Iranian Revolutionary Guard major general Qassem Suleimani and Deputy Chairman of the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Commission Abu Mahdi al-Muhandess, expressing complete solidarity with Iraq And Iran.

An official source at the Foreign and Expatriates Ministry said in a statement” The Syrian Arab Republic condemns in the strongest terms possible the criminal American Aggression which led to the martyrdom of the Commander of Al-Quds Brigade in the Iranian Revolutionary Guard major general Qassem Suleimani, Deputy Chairman of the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Commission Abu Mahdi al-Muhandess, and a number of the mobilization commission members, noting that this aggression constitutes a dangerous escalation for the situation in the region.

The source added that this criminal aggression, which is on par with acts carried out by criminal gangs, reiterates the US responsibility for the instability in Iraq within the framework of the US policies which aim at creating tensions and intensifying conflicts among the states of the region with the aim of imposing its hegemony on them and enabling the Zionist entity to impose its domination on the region.
The source went on to say” As the Syrian Arab Republic expresses its complete sympathy and solidarity with the Iraq and the Islamic Republic of Iran, it is confident that this cowardly American aggression will lead to more insistence and determination to follow in the footsteps of the martyred leaders in resisting any American intervention in the affairs of the states of the region and defending their national interests in the face of the US policies which constitute a serious threat to security, peace and stability in the region and the world as a whole.
