Syria sends letter to UNSC on Ankara’s undeniable support for terrorism

DAMASCUS,(ST)_ Syria has underscored that the Turkish government blatantly breaches the UN resolutions through supporting terrorist groups that perpetrate daily crimes against citizens and targets the country’s infrastructure.

It called on the UN Security Council to question supporters of terrorism and to fulfill its role in combating terrorism which targets the Syrian people and the state. 

The call was made in a letter sent on Thursday by Foreign and Expatriates Ministry to the UN Security Council on the continuity of the Turkish authority’s involvement in supporting the armed terrorist groups that are operating in Syria.

According to the official news agency, the ministry said: It is disapproval that the Turkish authority is still ‘undeniably’ going ahead with training and sheltering terrorist groups and providing them with logistic support and facilitating their flow to Syria in a blatant violation of the UN resolutions including the UN resolution No.1373.” 

It made it clear that the Turkish government systematically facilitate the flow of terrorists and arms through several areas including –Bab al-Hawa, al-Fawz, Ein al-Beda, Kherbet aljoz, al-Rehaneyeh, Ghazaleh town, Tal al-Dahab, and Atma .

The ministry asserted that the terrorist groups target hospitals, educational institutes, Mosques, Churches, diplomatic missions’ headquarters, children in their schools and even their buses.
