Syria, Saudi Arabia discuss ways of cooperation in health sector

GENEVA, May.25, (ST)-Today, the Minister of Health, Dr. Hassan Al-Ghabbash, discussed with the Advisor to the Saudi Royal Court and Supervisor of the King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aid, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabe’ah, ways of cooperation and coordinating mechanisms necessary to support the health sector in Syria.

During the meeting that was held in Geneva, Al-Ghabbash reviewed the health and humanitarian situation in Syria, where the two sides agreed to provide appropriate support directly or through the World Health Organization.

He referred to the visit paid by the organization’s Regional Director, Dr. Hanan Balkhi, to Syria, who was briefed on the reality and needs.

For his part, Al-Rabe’ah asserted the Center’s determination to support the health sector in Syria and the importance of constant and continuous communication to serve the citizens there.
