Jeddah, (ST) – The Minister of Awqaf (religious endowments), Dr. Muhammad Abdul Sattar Al-Sayyid, and the Saudi Minister of Islamic Affairs, Abdul Latif Al Al-Sheikh affirmed the depth of the fraternal and historical relations that bind the two peoples of the two brotherly countries.
The two sides indicated in their talk to the Saudi media that the visit by Minister Al-Sayyid reflected the authentic Arab brotherhood, and included many issues of concern to both sides.
The developing prospects for cooperation and coordination between the ministries in Syria and Saudi Arabia are also the subject of talks.
Minister Al-Sayyid began his visit to Saudi Arabia last Wednesday.
During his visit, Al-Sayyid held a round of discussions on developing and consolidating relations between the religious institutions in Syria and Saudi Arabia.
Enhancing cooperation in the field of combating extremism, understanding contemporary religious discourse, coordinating between institutions of legal education in both countries, and protecting young people from risks and extremist intellectual tendenciesare topics that Al-Sayyid discussed.
