Syria’s Victory over Terrorism Inevitable- Lebanese MP

BEIRUT, (ST)- Lebanese Parliament Member Marwan Fares has stressed that Syria will inevitably defeat terrorism and foil the colonialist division scheme prepared for the region.

In a statement to the Lebanese “al-Diplomaseya” magazine, Fares reiterated that Syria has achieved great victory over a coalition that comprised more than 80 countries including the United States. He clarified that the Syrian state has kept steadfast in the face of the American scheme which seeks destroying Syria, undermining its pivotal national role and controlling the entire region.

“The axis of resistance in the region, with Syria, Iran and the Lebanese resistance at the front in cooperation with Russia,  is the party which will draw up the region’s map at the end,” Fares said, pointing out that the American era has come to an end.

He added that Russia’s decision to launch military operations against terrorism in Syria has inaugurated a new era in the Middle East.

He asserted that all have become aware that terrorism in the region is an American-made product.
