Syria’s Sovereignty, Unity, Independence Should be Respected

CAIRO- Chinese Special Envoy for Syria Xie Xiaoyan has renewed the need to respect the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of Syria.

 “China has always rejected the use of force or the threat of force in international relations,” Xie said in a press conference in Cairo Sunday, stressing that the sovereignty, independence, unity and territorial integrity of Syria should be respected, according to  SANA.

The Chinese diplomat said that his country is convinced that there is no military solution to the crisis in Syria and that the only way is a diplomatic settlement.

 He urged all parties concerned to return to the track of talks.

The Chinese envoy stressed the need for a comprehensive, just and objective investigation into the alleged use of chemical weapons in Douma city in eastern Ghouta.
