Syria’s PM receives call from Iran’s vice President

DAMASCUS,(ST)_Syria’s Prime Minister Hussein Arnous received today a telephone call from the Iranian Vice president Eshaq Jahangiri.

The telephone conversation dealt with the new horizons of expanding economic cooperation between Syria and Iran for the common interest of the two countries’ peoples, according to the Syrian News Agency (SANA).

The agency cited that Jahangiri congratulated Arnous on becoming Prime Minister.

Jahangiri asserted the continuity of bilateral cooperation to cement the distinguished relations between Syria and Iran, especially in the field of economy to confront the unjust sanctions being imposed by the West of the Syrian and Iranian peoples.

On his part, Arnous highly appreciated Iran’s support for Syrian people and government to confront the sanctions.
