Syria’s Olympic team tied with its Qatari counterpart in the Asia Finals

Bangkok,(ST)- Syria’s Olympic football team tied with its Qatari counterpart with two goals for each in the first matches of the Asian U-23 finals currently held in the Thai capital Bangkok for the second group that also includes Japan and Saudi Arabia.
The tournament was launched yesterday and the Thai team beat its Bahraini counterpart 5 zero, and Iraq and Australia tied with a goal each within the first group competition.
Our team qualified for the Asian finals as the second best team in the qualifiers that took place in Kuwait last year.
