Syria’s legislations and laws on vocational health and safety guarantee rights of worker and employer
The International Day for Vocational Health and Safety, which falls on the 28th of April of each year, aims to emphasize the importance of providing a safe work environment for workers in all fields and within the conditions of vocational safety, with the provision of protective, rescue and ambulance equipment from accidents, and other expected risks to the workers and properties.
The International Labor Organization, which first established this day in 2003, seeks to raise awareness of the role of workers, employers and institutions in applying and providing all means of vocational safety and creating a health and safety culture that can help reduce the number of deaths and injuries related to the workplace.
In Syria, regulations and laws related to work ensure the existence of articles and legal texts that guarantee the rights of the worker and the employer in the event of any injury at the workplace.
