Syria’s Junior Tennis team qualifies to World Cup

Bangkok – Syria’s Junior Tennis team qualified to the world cup after beating Thailand in the quarter finals of Asia Davis Cup being held in Thailand’s capital of Bangkok, SANA reported.

In the first single game, player Pierre Jarwah lost 0-2, then player Taem al-Azmeh returned the hope of winning when he beat a player from Thailand 2-0. In the game of doubles, al-Azmeh and Jarwah beat their counterpart 2-0 to qualify to the semi-finals and meet Hong Kong players tomorrow.

All the teams that qualify to the semi-finals go directly to the world cup.
