Syria’s Export and Production Support and Development Authority focuses on participation in foreign exhibitions to Activate Exportation

The Director of Promotion at the Export and Production Support and Development Authority ( EPSDA) at the Ministry of Economy Malak Bagh stressed that the EPSDA ‘s  strategy in the coming era is based on participation in foreign exhibitions due to their importance in activating exportation. She made it clear that the Authority’s plan for the coming year will be carried out according to definite strategies in which the companies’ performance will be within a joint Syrian pavilion that presents a decent image about the national products which should be able to complete in international markets.

Bagh told SANA correspondent that the Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce has allocated a free space for the Syrian Arab Republic in an exhibition in Brazil for 90 days to exhibit Syrian companies’ different products that are competitive in terms of price and quality. She said that the exhibition will help these companies promote their products in Brazil and will consolidate the commercial relations between the two friendly countries.

She explained that the Syrian pavilion will be organized in cooperation with the EPSDA and companies wishing to participate in this exhibition will be invited to provide samples of their products to promote them, referring to the facilitations that will be provided to the companies which are not able to participate in the exhibition due to the shipping costs and that will contribute to reactivating the exports and encouraging the Syrian companies to develop their products.

Bagh said that Syria’s participation in the exhibition proves the vitality and activity of the Syrian economy despite the war Syria has been facing and it is evidence that the Syrian products are able to compete in the Arab and foreign markets.

The exhibition is due to be opened when the participating Syrian companies’ products arrive.
