Syria, Russia stress US practices cause damage to Syrian economy

DAMASCUS, (ST)_Syria and Russia have asserted that the occupation of Syrian territories by the US and its allies  who support terrorist organizations and plunder natural resources leave huge damages to the Syrian economy.
 
In a joint statement issued on Tuesday by the Syrian-Russian Coordination committees on the Return of Syrian refugees, Syria and Russia called on the international community to condemn the unjust sanctions being imposed by the US and its allies on the Syrian people and stop politicizing the humanitarian aid file.
 
“Efforts are being exerted to offer different aid and secure safe and voluntary return for the refugees to their homeland and restore normal life in the country,” the statement added.
 
It affirmed that the Syrian state is doing its utmost to remove all obstacles facing the return of refugees which is considered as a national priority in parallel  with the measures taken to fight coronavirus.
