Damascus, (ST) – Damascus University has signed five cooperation agreements with the Moscow Cancer Research Center, North Caucasus Federal and Don State Technical Universities, Bauman and Platov South Russia State Technical Universities.
Under the cooperation agreement with the Moscow Center for Cancer Research, the two sides will cooperate in the scientific, research and treatment fields, which will reflect positively on the level of medical services provided to patients in educational hospitals, and support scientific research for graduate students and professors at Damascus University.
Under the agreement, the two sides cooperate with the North Caucasus Federal University in the field of student, academic and administrative exchange, research and courses, program development, exchange of publications, scientific materials, educational papers and research information available between the two parties.
Under the memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Dawn University, the two sides will cooperate in the field of promoting educational programs, information support for educational activities, and cooperation in scientific and technical research. The two sides will also cooperate in developing joint educational and cultural projects.
Under the agreement, the two sides also cooperate with Baumann University in the field of science and education, help prepare advanced training for scientists and faculty members, exchange experiences in developing and implement new methods of education, and organize short and long-term training periods for undergraduate and graduate students.
In a statement to the media, Dr. Muhammad Osama Al-Jabban, Head of Damascus University, affirmed the university’s desire and hope to expand cooperation with the Russian side, in various scientific, research and medical fields, in a way that advances and develops the educational process and achieves common interests.
For his part, Deputy Minister of Health of Russia Andrei Plotnitsky stressed the importance of the signed agreements, especially the agreement of the Moscow Center for Cancer Research.
the other hand, a Russian medical delegation visited the University Children’s Hospital in Damascus and was briefed on the reality of the hospital’s work, and the treatment services provided to patients in the incubator departments and the care of children and newborns.
