Syria, Russia appeal to international community to compel US to fully withdraw its occupation troops from Syria

MOSCOW, (ST)_Syria and Russia have reiterated their call for the international community to put pressure on the United States to fully withdraw its occupation troops from Syria.

The Syrian and Russian coordination committees said in a joint statement released today on the return of displaced Syrians: “Syria and Russia urge international community to exercise pressure on the U. S. which continues to violate the international law through its illegal presence in the Syrian territories, and to oblige it to completely withdraw its forces form the sovereign Syrian Arab Republic.
In a relevant context, the statement indicated that the U.S. rejects offering any security guarantees to the UN mission which is participating in transporting the displaced people who are held at al-Rukban Camp in a way that hinders the process of evacuating the camp and ending the tragedy of thousands of families there and their return to their areas which have been liberated from terrorism.

Repeatedly, the two committees appealed to the US to leave the Syrian territories which it occupies, asserting that Washington foiled a plan to transport the civilians from al-Rukban Camp because it did not abide by its obligations.

The U.S. keeps the camp as a human shield to go ahead with its occupation of al-Tanf area.
