Syria renews its condemnation of the US economic embargo on Cuba

Damascus (ST): Syria renewed its condemnation of the unjust economic blockade imposed by the United States of America on the Republic of Cuba, which violates international law and the most basic human rights, calling on the international community to move to put an end to this economic terrorism, which constitutes an act of genocide.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said in a statement that the Syrian Arab Republic condemns in the strongest terms the criminal, immoral economic embargo imposed by the United States of America on Cuba for more than sixty years, with the aim of restricting the legitimate rights of the Cuban people to defend their sovereignty and stability away from American hegemony.

The Foreign Ministry expressed its confidence that Cuba, which is facing this illegal embargo, will maintain its sovereignty and will foil its objectives.
