Syria renews call for unified efforts to end scourge of terrorism upon Tunisia attacks

Damascus – Syria expressed strong condemnation of the terrorist attacks that ISIS organization committed in the Tunisian Ben Gardane town.

A number of civilians and military members were killed in clashes with ISIS terrorists who attacked military and security posts in Ben Gardane that is close to Tunisia’s border with Libya. 36 terrorists were reported to be killed and 7 others were arrested.

 

Syria voices “solidarity with brotherly Tunisia and sympathy with the families of the innocent victims,” an official source at the Foreign and Expatriates Ministry said, SANA reported.

Syria, the source added, “renews call for unifying all sincere efforts to put an end to the scourge of terrorism that is becoming a serious threat to the peace and stability of the region and the world.”

The source said Syria has been for five years fighting this same terrorism that has stricken a number of brotherly countries being supported by the Saudi regime mainly among other regional and international parties.
