Syria rejects the false allegations of the Group of Seven

Damascus, (ST) – Syria affirmed its rejection, in its entirety, of the allegations contained in the statement issued by the meeting of the Foreign and Development Ministers of the Group of Seven, which came in the context of continuous disinformation campaigns with exposed goals and intentions. Syria stressed that, the political process is a purely Syrian national sovereign issue decided by the Syrians themselves with the facilitation of the United Nations and without external interference.

In response to the statement issued by the Group of Seven that is full of misinformation, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said in a statement on Wednesday that, the government of the Syrian Arab Republic rejects the allegations contained in the statement issued by the meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Development of the Group of Seven, which came in the context of continuous disinformation campaigns with open objectives full of lies. The intentions are to cover up acts of aggression and occupation, sponsor terrorist organizations, plunder the wealth of Syrians, destroy their economic achievements and their cultural and humanitarian identity, and obstruct the return of Syrian refugees.

The ministry added that the statement issued by this group does not differ from the review made by representatives of the European Union and its international partners a short time ago under the name of the “Brussels Fifth Conference”, which coincided with the imposition of more unilateral coercive measures against Syria, which exposes the falsehood and hypocrisy of their humanitarian concern.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates concluded its statement by saying that, the government of the Syrian Arab Republic affirms that the political process is a purely Syrian national sovereign issue decided by the Syrians themselves with the facilitation of the United Nations and without external interference. Syria stressed that; it will never tolerate occupation and terrorism.
