Syria Regrets Pillay Report Ignoring Takfirists Crimes Against Humanity

GENEVA,(ST)_ Syria has expressed regret and dismay over the Human Rights High Commissioner Navi Pillay report yesterday before the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva, in ignoring a number of important points concerning the situation in Syria.

Syria’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations in Geneva, Dr. Faisal al-Hamwi said that: ” Pillay ignored in her report that the increasing number of victims is the , ” result of states supporting terrorism in Syria did not so far refrain from shedding the blood of innocent people by continuing public and official support of the takfiri movements with weapons and money and thousands of mercenaries to sustain the blood of the Syrian people.”

Hamwi explained that the High Commissioner’s report ignored the fact that the takfirists of al- Qaeda and al-Nusra front committed crimes against humanity in some areas , such as brutal torture brutal and arbitrary arrests and executions ,” adding that ” the brutal the massacre committed a month ago in certain areas in Latakia, in killing more than 400 children, women and elderly giving an example of their hatred and criminality and despite the horror of the massacre the US delegation obstructed releasing a condemning statement at the UN Security Council . “

” The High Commissioner pointed to the international community delay to find a peaceful solution and confirmed that getting out of this nightmare passes through immediate negotiations and concrete steps to end this conflict, though this signal is a small step forward,” but it was ” late and incomplete because it ignored obstacles laid down by the US , Israel, Turkey and Saudi Arabia to prevent any movement on to convene the international conference on Syria , Geneva 2 and eliminate any hope to solve the crisis through dialogue , rather pushing towards a military buildup to launch an immoral and unjustified aggression on Syria .” Hamwi underscored.

He concluded the statement as saying that ” Syria will continue to evaluate the reports of the Commission Office as biased and unprofessional until these reports show objectivity and courage and frankly condemn the negative and destructive role of Turkey , Saudi Arabia and Qatar , aims to shed the blood of the Syrian people and the destruction of their country.”
