Syria Receives New Batch of Belarusian Humanitarian Aid

LATTAKIA, (ST)- The Syrian government on Tuesday received a new batch of humanitarian assistance presented by the republic of Belarus.

The aid includes electric generators, school and medical equipments, food, clothes, and kids shoes.

“The Belarusian aid carries great humanitarian meanings under the current circumstances,” said Ibrahim Kheder al-Salem, Lattakia Governor, thanking Belarus over the support it has been providing to Syria at all international gatherings and which indicates the deep friendship between the two countries.     

On his part, Belarus Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations “Igor Molotov” said that his country is providing assistance to Syria in accordance with its capabilities and that “this batch comes in implementation of President Alexander Lukashinko and to stress the deep relations between two countries.

The Belarusian official said that the kids wears are enough to a thousand kids and school equipments are enough to equip 30 classrooms.

 He hailed the distinguished economic and social relations between the peoples of the two countries, expressing Belarus’ readiness to provided full support for Syria in the confrontation of terrorism.
