Syria receives a new batch of Chinese medical aid to tackle Coronavirus

Damascus, (ST) – Within the framework of the distinguished relations between Syria and China, the Ministry of Health received today a new batch of medical assistance to support the health sector‘s response to the Corona pandemic provided by the People’s Republic of China.

The batch includes a number of laboratory analysis kits to detect infection with the Coronavirus, individual medical protection devices, “N95” masks, and temperature measuring devices.

The first batch of Chinese medical aid related to the prevention of corona virus arrived in Syria on the 15th of last April and included test kits to diagnose the virus.  Previously there was an exchange of medical experiences via the Internet between doctors in hospitals in both friendly countries related to confronting the emerging virus.
