Syria qualifies for quarterfinals of Asian Games, Indonesia

Jakarta – Syria’s Olympic football team qualified for the quarterfinals of the Asian Games currently held in Indonesia after beating the Palestinian team 1-0, SANA reported.

Player Ahmed al-Ashqar scored the goal at the 73rd minute.

The Syrian team qualified for the 16th round of the Asian Games after it beat East Timor 5-2 in the third and final round of the C group stage.
