Syria presidency thanks Syrian citizens abroad for their broad Participation in Presidential elections

DAMASCUS,(ST)_ The Syrian Presidency has expressed thanks to the Syrian citizens abroad for their broad participation in the presidential elections.

On its front page on the social networking site (Facebook ), the Syrian presidency stressed that Syrian citizens great turnout  at the polling stations to cast their votes is, but an evidence of the national consciousness, that distinguished the Syrians throughout their history, and an  expression of  their true inherent affiliation to their homeland and their aspiration to build Syria’s future.

This has been crystal clear, the page read, by exercising their constitutional right to vote in the Syrian embassies abroad or in holding marches, sit-ins and other national manifestations in countries where there are no Syrian embassies or in other countries which not allow holding of elections on their territories.
