Syria participates in the International Mathematical Modeling Challenge Competition 2021 in China

Syria is participating in the International  Mathematical Modeling Challenge  ( IMMC)  competition 2021 which is  organized by China  remotely  from 2-6 May. 

The Distinction  and Creativity Agency  said in a statement   that two teams from the National Center for Distinguished  in Lattakia  represent Syria in the IMMC competition 2021 and   Each team  includes four students.

The statement  indicated  that the competition revolves solving  one issue  during  the five days and solutions  will be  presented through a report of no more than 20 pages in English language.

Modeling according to the statement means using all  sciences in an applied way by converting a natural phenomenon or a life problem into a mathematical model that helps in analyzing the phenomenon or developing a solution to the problem or extrapolating its development. To do so, the team relies on the knowledge and  various skills of its  members in mathematics, informatics, physics, chemistry or science according to the submitted issue.

 It is noteworthy to mention that this is Syria’s second participation in the competition, as two teams from the National Center for Distinguished   also participated in the competition last year and achieved two certificates of appreciation.
