Syria participates in the International Intellectual Property Conference

Geneva- Syria and some 100 Arab and foreign countries re participating in the activities of the International Conference on Intellectual Property and the Twenty-third Meeting of the Committee on Development and Intellectual Property, which will continue in Geneva until 23 May.
Deputy Minister of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection Jamal Al-Din Shuaib confirmed in a speech during the conference the continuation of the Directorate of Protection of Commercial and Industrial Property in the Ministry to rely on local expertise to establish a preliminary structure to create a center to support creativity, small and medium enterprises and technology transfer.
Mr. Shuaib also called for the promotion of the intellectual property culture in various sectors and its inclusion in the development agenda projects to be implemented.
The activities of the International Conference on Intellectual Property were launched last Sunday at the headquarters of the World Intellectual Property Organization.
