Syria participates in the 24th Conference of Arab Lawyers Federation in Tunisia

Tunisia- The twenty-fourth General Conference of the Arab Lawyers federation (ALF), under the theme “Advocacy and Protection of the Nation’s Issues and the Achievement of Justice”, began in Tunis with the participation of some 1,500 lawyers from various Arab countries, including Syria.

The three-day conference addresses the most important current issues in various Arab countries.

In a speech at the opening of the conference, Secretary-General of the ALF Nasser Al-Karyowein confirmed that the Arab Lawyers’ Federation and its syndicates are always striving to defend Arab issues, pointing out that it is the responsibility of Arab lawyers to unite efforts in this framework and work to discard disagreements.

For his part, Nizar Sakeif, head of the Syrian Bar Association, stressed in a statement to adhere to Arabism and faith in it.

For his part, the Syrian lawyer Ayman Bilal, chairman of the Youth Committee of the ALF said in a statement that young people are the backbone of the future and who owns young people have the future, calling for paying attention to them to achieve a better future for the Arab peoples.

The head of the Syrian Bar Association chaired the Arab National Committee in the presence of the heads of the branches of the union in a number of governorates and the head of the union’s bureau Bassel Khalil. They stressed during the meeting that Syria is continuing to fight terrorism and that the Syrians are the only ones who fighting terrorism on behalf of the world.

The participants condemned the weak of some Arab regimes and normalization with the Zionist enemy, stressing the firm position of Syria on the Palestinian issue and the just causes of the Arab people.

It is noteworthy that the Arab Lawyers ALF was founded in 1944 and its General Conference is convened every three years in order to formulate the policies of the Federation and guide its activities.
