AMMAN, Oct.19, ( ST)-With the participation of Syria, the first Arab conference on the role of the immigration of experts in health sector in supporting health systems in Arab countries kicked off today.
The conference, which is the first of its kind in the Arab world, and is held in the Jordanian capital, Amman, aims to enhance joint Arab health cooperation.
The first session of the conference was chaired by the Minister of Health, Dr. Ahmed Damiriyah, who spoke about the scale of migration, the factors associated with it, the effects and challenges resulting from the migration of health workers, and the positive aspects associated with it, in addition to the horizon of benefiting from migrant talents and the initiatives that can be presented in this aspect.
About 500 participants are taking part in the two-day event, including Arab health ministers and well-qualified doctors who have achieved notable successes in the diaspora.
