TEHRAN, Sep.21, (ST)- Syria takes part in the 16th international “Iran Plast” exhibition, which kicked off today with the participation of hundreds of local and foreign companies specialized in the fields of polymer, plastic and related equipment industries.
Some 10 foreign companies and delegations from Syria, Afghanistan, Tunisia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Serbia, Bosnia, Russia, Oman, Iraq, Tajikistan, Armenia, Spain, Brazil, Lebanon, the Russian Republic of Tatarstan and other countries will participate in the 4-day event.
Deputy Minister of Oil and CEO of the National Iranian Petrochemical Industries Company, Mortada Shahmirzai , said during the opening of the exhibition that the activities of this session include displaying various achievements and more than 500 types of raw materials and industrial machinery in the field of petrochemicals, plastic industries and spare parts that are manufactured by local Iranian companies despite US embargo and sanctions.
He added that the participants in the exhibition from foreign countries can benefit from Iranian experiences and achievements in this field and increase cooperation between Iranian and foreign companies, stressing that the oil and petrochemical industry in Iran is witnessing remarkable progress in various fields through the concerted efforts of Iranian scientists and researchers and the availability of raw materials.
Stephan Medaa, a sales expert at the Syrian “SIMCO” Company, said: “The company acts as a link between Iranian producers and Syrian consumers and industrialists to obtain raw materials, production lines and industrial tools”.
He pointed out that “SIMCO” is connecting the Syrian and Iranian market to obtain various requirements for the production process.
It is noteworthy that the “Iran Plast” international exhibition is considered one of the largest events for the plastics industry in the Middle East, and it seeks to provide a basis for the prosperity of the market for this industry and facilitate global marketing.
