Syria participates in International Informatics Competition held by Russian Innopolis University

Students from the Syrian Scientific Olympiad and the National Center for Excellence participated in the global informatics competition that was held on Saturday remotely by the Russian Innopolis University, with the aim of reaching the most distinguished talents in the world in the field of informatics.

The Excellence and Creativity Commission stated that 44 young men and women, including 22 members of the national team for the Syrian Scientific Olympiad in Informatics, and 22 young men and women from the National Center for Excellence students represented Syria in this international competition from the governorates of Damascus, Homs, Aleppo, Lattakia and Tartous .

According to the Commission’s statement, the competition tests were conducted over a period of five continuous hours, and included five high-level questions in algorithms and programming.

More than 1,500 male and female students representing more than 40 countries from around the world participated in this competition, which is held in several competitive stages, to access distinguished talents in the field of informatics.
