Syria participates in Extraordinary Meeting in support of Palestine in Tehran

Tehran, (ST) – The fourth extraordinary meeting of the Permanent Palestine Committee of the Union of Councils (PUIC) of the Member States of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) began in the Iranian capital, Tehran, today, under the title “Al-Quds (Jerusalem), a symbol of unity and victory,” with the participation of a delegation from the Syrian People’s Assembly.

The meeting, in which delegations from a number of Islamic countries will participate, deals with how to use the parliamentary capabilities to support the Palestinian cause and put an immediate end to the Israeli entity’s attacks against the Palestinian people.

 

The People’s Assembly delegation, which arrived in Tehran yesterday, is headed by Parliament Vice President Muhammad Akram Ajlani. It also includes Maysa Salih, Secretary of the Council and its public relations official, Muhammad Yahya Sheikho.

The opening of the meeting was attended by the Syrian ambassador to Tehran, Dr. Shafiq Dayoub.
