Syria participates in Annual Charity Bazaar in Pakistan
Syria has taken part in the Charity Diplomatic Bazaar organized by Pakistan Foreign Office Women’s Association (PFOWA) in cooperation with the diplomatic missions in Islamabad.
Syria’s participation in this event was represented by the Syrian embassy in Pakistan.
Various Syrian products, food, artworks as well as modern and ancient products, that reflect the deep-rooted cultural heritage of the Syrian people, were displayed.
The Charge de Affairs of the Syrian Embassy in Islamabad Mazen Obeid said that this Syrian participation is the first of its kind in Pakistan since a long time ago, pointing out that the Syrian stand in the bazaar gained the admiration of all participants, particularly from Pakistan and friendly Arab countries.
Syria’s participation in this event reflected the deep-rooted relations between Syria and Pakistan and contributed to enhancing the bilateral ties that have witnessed notable development in the fields of education, culture and tourism, Obeid added.
The Bazaar exhibited some of the products and industries of the participating countries and the proceeds of this bazaar will go to charities with the aim of boosting the culture of donation.
