Syria participates in AAOIFI’s annual conference in Bahrain
On December 2nd, a delegation from Syria, headed by the Governor of the Central Bank of Syria (CBS), Dr. Muhammad Essam Hazimeh, participated in the annual conference of the Accounting and Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institutions “AAOIFI”.
The conference began in the Bahraini capital, Manama, yesterday, in response to an invitation from Bahrain to the Central Bank of Syria and the Syrian Islamic banks.
The CBS indicated the importance of the Syrian participation in this two-day conference, after proving the development achieved by Islamic banks in Syria during its continuous work for more than fourteen years.
AAOIFI is considered one of the most prominent international organizations supporting financial institutions, in addition to the Arab welcome shown by the organizers for Syria’s return to active participation in international and Arab meetings and conferences.
