Syria, Oman discuss strengthening bilateral relations

Muscat (ST): The Syrian Ambassador to the Sultanate of Oman, Dr. Idris Maya, discussed with Lieutenant General Sultan bin Muhammad al-Nu’mani, Minister of the Royal Office the latest developments in Syria and the region and ways to enhance cooperation to achieve common interests.

Ambassador Maya affirmed the strength of the bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries, referring to the balanced and delicate Omani diplomacy that receives regional and international respect, and the Sultanate’s principled stances towards Syria.

For his part, Al-Nu’mani affirmed the firmness of the Omani position towards Syria, renewing Oman’s support for Syria’s sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity and its keenness to improve bilateral relations in all fields.
