Syria offers condolences to Iran over victims of floods

DAMASCUS, Aug.1, (ST)- Syria has expressed its solidarity with the brothers in Iran after the sad news about deadly floods and mudslides that hit many cities and villages in Iran and left casualties and damage to properties.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said in a post published on Monday in its Facebook account that it extends its deepest condolences to the government and people of the brotherly Iran and to the families of the victims of the deadly floods, wishing a speedy recovery for the wounded and the return of the missing to their families.

“The government of the Syrian Arab Republic is certainthat the Iranian government and people are able of overcome this painful ordeal,” the ministry added

It concluded by saying: “May Allah protect the Islamic Republic of Iran from all harm and may Allah have mercy on the victims of this catastrophe”
