Syria … Member in the Executive Committee of the SFIC

Damascus, (ST) – Syria was elected for the second time represented by the President of the Syrian Federation  of Insurance Companies (SFIC) Muhannad Mohammed Muwaffaq Assamman in the Executive Committee of the Arab Federation of Insurance.

Mr. Assamman said in a statement to local press that the election of Syria came in the 31 Conference of the Federation held in Beirut in 23rd last June with the participation of the Syrian insurance sector represented by the Federation, the supervisory body of insurance and a number of insurance companies and companies of medical waste management, agents and insurance brokers of insurance besides the participation of 25 countries with more than 1,500 insurance individuals.

“ The annual report of the local insurance market to all participants who saw that this market continues to operate and provide services, despite the current crisis in Syria is one of the best insurance services in the Arab markets are aware that the Syrian insurance companies rearranges the domestic situation in preparation for takeoff strongly with the approach of the end of this crisis, “stressing that the presence of Syria at the conference demonstrated its economic status and role in the insurance sector,” Mr. Assamman clarified.

The conference witnessed offerings to local insurance companies, the most important presentations of reinsurance from re-Arab firms indicating that the Syrian insurance companies on the verge of greater flexibility in terms of re-insurance next year, after the difficulties it has suffered during the previous agreements in terms of militancy in the conditions and accepting the risks.
