Syria marks World Traffic Day and Arab Traffic Week

Under the title Traffic Safety is the Responsibility of All”,  Syria is commemorating today the World Traffic Day and the Arab Traffic Week which extends from May 4th to May 10th. The aim is to remind citizens of the importance of abiding by traffic rules and regulations in order to guarantee their safety.

Deputy Head of the Traffic Directorate Jihad Al-Sa’di told SANA that all institutions and individuals are responsible towards putting this important sector to good use, particularly as the world loses more than a million people every year in traffic accidents and in improper use of traffic according to reports by the World Health Organization (WHO).

 He added that traffic commitment and awareness are key factors of traffic process and the success gate for reducing all challenges and problems.
