Syria marks Internal Security Forces Day

Marking the Internal Security Forces Day in Syria, Interior Minister, Major General Mohammad Al-Rahmoun visited the mausoleum of the security forces martyrs in Al-Dahdah cemetery in Damascus in commemoration of the guards and security forces personnel who were martyred on May 29th, 1945, while defending the parliament against the French occupation’s attack.

In a statement to journalist, Maj. Gen. Al-Rahmoun explained that those guards of the parliament were martyred after refusing to obey the orders of the French occupation to salute the French flag, a refusal that provoked the French occupation forces to bombard the parliament.
