Syria is country with long history and enjoys global importance, Former Slovak Premiers says

Former Slovak Prime Minister Jan Chernogorsky affirmed that Syria is a country with a long history and at the same time it enjoys global geopolitical importance.

“The West supported terrorism in Syria, but the developments that took place in it have different results from what the West had planned for. Syria was able to achieve victories over the terrorists and foiled their plans,” Chernogorsky said in an interview with the Slovak Iskra website, noting that Western countries resorted to imposing unilateral economic punitive measures on Syria.

Chernogorsky called on his country’s government to restore diplomatic relations and deepen cooperation with Syria.
