Syria Is against All Activities Hindering Navigation Movement in the Arabian Gulf

DAMASCUS, (ST)- Syria has expressed its rejection of all the activities that hinder the navigation movement in the Arabian Gulf, affirming the need for respecting the rules of international law by guaranteeing the freedom of navigation to all and avoiding any procedures that harm these rules, according to an official source at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates.

In a statement to SANA on Friday the source said that Syria is against any activities that would hinder navigation in the Arabian Gulf and that would have negative impacts on all countries of the region.

The source added that Syria urges all concerned parties to practice self restraint, because the escalation of tension in the Gulf doesn’t serve the interests of the region’s countries.

“Dialogue away from foreign interference will undoubtedly lead to de-escalating tension and guaranteeing peace, security and stability in the region.
