Syria, Iraq will allow entry of commercial trucks from both sides soon

Commercial trucks delivering goods from Syria to Iraq and vice versa will be allowed entry to both countries within the coming few days, Syria’s Ambassador to Iraq Sattam Jad’an Al-Dandah has stated.

In a statement to SANA correspondent in Baghdad, Al-Dandah clarified that the entry of Syrian commercial trucks to Iraq and the entry of Iraqi commercial trucks to Syria was stopped during the coronavirus crisis.

He added that the Iraqi government has allowed the Syrian trucks carrying commercial and agricultural goods, particularly citrus fruits, to enter from Syria to all the Iraqi provinces.

In reciprocation, the Syrian government will allow the entry of Iraqi commercial trucks to enter the country during the coming days, he pointed out.
