Damascus, (ST) – Prime Minister Hussein Arnous discussed on Monday with the Chargé d’Affaires of the Iraqi Embassy in Damascus, Yassin Sharif Al-Hujaimi means of developing bilateral relations in various fields, especially economic, industrial, commercial, transportation, product exchange, and bartering of goods needed by the markets of the two countries.
The two sides also discussed means of strengthening the work of the Syrian-Iraqi Joint Committee.
Arnous stressed the Syrian government’s keenness to implement the agreements and memorandums of understanding (MoU) signed between the two sides in order to achieve a kind of integration between the economies of the two countries that contributes to the development of joint work and opens new horizons for bilateral relations in a way that brings good and benefit to the peoples of the two brotherly countries.
He stressed the continued development of relations between the two countries at all levels to confront common challenges and achieve a qualitative leap in cooperation and joint work.
For his part, Al-Hujaimi expressed his country’s desire to expand bilateral cooperation and benefit from the advantages enjoyed by the Syrian economy. He pointed to the importance of intensifying joint efforts to find solutions to the difficulties that hinder the development of economic relations and trade exchange.
